stevestojan Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 I'll still root for the bills, of course. Dont get me wrong. I always will. Buuuut, i am really interested in why people think we have a chance against NE? Really. Why? IS it because they had a below average game against the Cards? That could be the only reason. Because our offense has shown it cant beat Jacksonville, OR Oakland. Why NE? I hope it happens, but hope in one hand and s#it in the other, and see which one fills up the fastest... . . . . .
Kevbeau Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 I'm going to take the "conspiracy" route and assume the Bills lost the first two games to lull the Pats into sense of complacency. "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"
stevestojan Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" 48156 "HELL, NO!"

Because we have a stout Defense that can keep us in the game. Contrary to popular belief ...... we DO have some talent on the offense. Even a blind squrrel will find a nut every once in a while. At this point of the season .... beating Buffalo is the LEAST of the Pats worries, where as winning a game ...... any game ...... is a BIG issue with Buffalo. We can get it done ...... we can get it done ...... what's more is we GOTTA get it done!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong ...... I honestly think NE is the better team at this point in the season ......... and all things equal, we should get our butts spanked ....... but we DO have a chance.
gantrules Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" -------------------------- is this a quote from a movie?
stevestojan Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" -------------------------- is this a quote from a movie? 48285 one of the best movies of all time. i'm surprised at how many people havnt seen Animal House. If you ever went to college, go rent it (no, go buy it) now. Not tonight. Not later on. Not tomorrow. Right now. Seriously though, even if you didnt even go away to college, its priceless. Bluto' s inspirational speech: "Over? Did you say, 'over?' Nothing is over until WE decide it is! Was over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!" Boone: "Germans?" Otter: "Forget it. He's rolling." May I also suggest the VERY underrated film PCU.
#89 Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 I'm gonna do my best to make the zebras "NOT JUST GIVE IT TO THEM"
gantrules Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Animal House and PCU. Is PCU of recent vintage or is is older too?
stevestojan Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Animal House and PCU. Is PCU of recent vintage or is is older too? 48307 PCU is much more recent, and is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. Jeremy Pivens is in it, if that helps... It is an absolutly awesome flick. . .
Hollywood Donahoe Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 At this point of the season .... beating Buffalo is the LEAST of the Pats worries... Are you joking? With Bill "One Game at a Time" Belichick as their head coach? This game may as well be the Super Bowl for the Pats.

Jacksonville held Denver's offense to a mere six points and Tennessee's to twelve. Oakland, while not an elite squad, has certainly shown that they are better than people expected and west coast games have historically been a nightmare for the Bills, no matter what their record. I think Steve Tasker said in 'Bills Digest' that his teams were something like 3-11 out west. Another reason for hope is that the Bills' 'D' will keep them in most games and, Sunday, they should come out like a team with its back against the wall, desperate for a win. Also, as poor as the offense has seemingly been, this team could just as easily be 2-0 as 0-2. It's not like they've been blown out. Their own mistakes, most notably penalties on special teams and lack of fourth down stops on 'D', are the reason they're 0-2 in spite of the lack of offensive points. This game just seems like a trap game for NE, Belipuke or no.

I hope it happens, but hope in one hand and s#it in the other, and see which one fills up the fastest... . . . . . 48151 NE won a very close game against the Colts at Home and then did not dominate (as one would have expected) in their win over the Cardinals. The Bills lost two close games that could have gone their way easily. Based on the two games it is neither that NE is unbeatable nor that we have been outclassed. The game is played at Buffalo and with the 12th man in full force (sold out game) we have a shot at winning the game. Our Run defense has showed that they can stop the Run (#1 against the Run in the AFC)....Now they have to stop the Pats passing game which is easier said than done especially with Wire at SS. However if our Offense can play ball-control offense and run the ball and keep Brady and his offense on the sidelines, we have a shot at the upset.
jayg Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 While I don't expext them to win, I will be watching at 7AM at the Shack in Hawaii. I thought west coaters had it bad! $2 SCREWDRIVERS!
R. Rich Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 WE WILL BEAT THE PATS..... 48137 My friend njsue is the resident cheerleader here. I do hope we can beat the Pats and get back on track. Since we haven't seen much so far, I'll believe it when I see it. I'll be hopeful, but until we see something positive, I won't say for sure who will win.
DeeRay Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 if the bills keep playing like this i'm gonna jump! Off a 10 story building
frogger Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Animal House and PCU. Is PCU of recent vintage or is is older too? 48307 do you know how many times I have seen PCU, enough to know that one of the house members is wearing a house of guitars shirt and it says rochester, NY under it, and the fat guy, I believe his name was gunner is Jon Favreau of Swingers fame. in that same mold one can not forget Old School.
buffaloboyinATL Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Buuuut, i am really interested in why people think we have a chance against NE? Really. Why? . . . 48151 In hindsight, who would have thought we would have beaten them so handily in the first game last year? They were the about to become SuperBowl Champs and had a much better team than us and yet we won the game. You just never know. If we get our running game going and the Defense/Special Teams steps up... we could just as easily win as lose. I am hoping/cheering for the W.
Greg de'Ville Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 ...look on the bright side, folks. The Bills are out of the division basement by a half-game, and they haven't even won yet!
