Bob in STL Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Link Looks like it's a three way (insert joke here....) 653385 This press release was needed. Thank you Marv.
BUFFALOTONE Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Way to go Marvelous, JP is the guy, at least until next year when we draft Quinn then he will be looking for a job.
erynthered Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Link Looks like it's a three way (insert joke here....) 653385 Damn, if Marv would have only held out for two more days. We could have had an extra 30 threads about this, Damn.
ganesh Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 This press release was needed. Thank you Marv. 653390 That Press Release just increased Marvs credibility a notch.....
damj Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Link Looks like it's a three way (insert joke here....) 653385 Okay, so it's like "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil", but only in this case it's ... JP can _____ no ______, Holcomb can _______ no ______, and Nall can _____ no ______ {you fill in the blanks}
Ozymandius Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Good for Marv. But it took long enough for him to release this statement that skeptics will say Losman DID get shopped around but nobody was biting. The most likely explanation for the delay, though, is that Marv probably doesn't have enough time to surf internet message boards, which is where this rumor really was fueled. He probably didn't realize how rampant the rumor had gotten until just recently.

This was spinning out of control and probably was not good for JP. Marv's timing was fine and it shows another example of why players trust him and will play for him.
todd Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 first smart move hes done. 653396 If I had to guess your age it would be 14.

Ramius Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Good for Marv for ending the baseless speculation of one publess moron at yahoo sports named Chris robinson. Most of the other outlets merely took his rumor and ran with it. chris robinson < RJ
Realist Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I still can't believe so many people believed this bull sh_t in the first place. It started from some idiot on Yahoo and people believed it like it came directly from Marv.

CaliforniaCheez Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Gee a reporter made something up? "It must be true I read it on the internet!" BTW some stats for stat junkies: Eli Manning has thrown 30 TD in 754 attempts with 26 INT's for a QB rating of 70.5. Alex Smith has thrown 1 TD in 165 attempts with 11 INT's for a QB rating of 40.8. Aaron Rodgers has thrown 0 TD in 16 attempts with 1 INT for a QB rating of 39.8. Phillip Rivers has thrown 1 TD in 30 attempts with 1 INT for a QB rating of 67.1. J. P. Losman has 8 TD in 233 attempts with 9 INT's for a QB rating of 63.5. Craig Nall has thrown 4 TD's in 33 attempts with 0 INT's for a QB rating of 139.4 Marv has this under control. Young QB's struggle for awhile. It is part of the investment in them. Why throw that investment away?
Ozymandius Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 If Quinn has a good year he'll be a top 5 pick. 653430 Unfortunatley if the Bills have a good year, they'll have a top 5 pick.
