Tipster19 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3693 Somehow this administration and their procedures sure seem different from the last administration. The image of this organization was in serious trouble. I do believe that this is one of many big steps in the right direction. Look at the dissension and turmoil that we endured last year. You don't think that Marv and his staff aren't having a big effect on this organization? I do believe that the ramifications are immeasurable and the best is yet to come. Here's another link on someone I wonder if Marv would have liked to have hanged onto. http://chicagobears.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=14845
krazykat Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 What do you think other teams do? Give them cab vouchers and a car rental map and tell them where to show up to drop their drawers for a physical.

Ok, so you'll take the 9 train to 34th street and get off there. Walk 9 blocks north to the port authority, and get on the 127 bus to Secaucus. Transfer in Secaucus to the local, and get off the local at East Rutherford. We'll have Tony from the equipment room pick you up in the team minivan there, Mr. Moulds.
Sisyphean Bills Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 That reminds me of when the Chicago Bulls drafted Michael Jordan. Jordan flew to Chicago and ... not a single soul from the Bulls was anywhere to be found. He had to rally up a cab and get to the Bulls offices on his own. Fuggin' first class organization!
gmac17 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 when peerless went to atlanta, they put together a whole video of his highlights, and when he walked into the dome they played the video on the big screen to the ludicrous song "welcome to atlanta".

apuszczalowski Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Alot of teams don't go to the extent that Buffalo does to welcome the FA's like some other teams. Maybe its because other teams don't have to worry about winning them over with the little things, some teams just have to say we're interested heres a contract and the player is signing. Do you think Clevland needed to do anything to get Bentley? He said before that Clevland was his first choice, they probably faxed over a contract amount to his agent and he was on the first plane over. I doubt Dallas did much to get T.O. except show him a contract with a $ on it. Alot of teams do this type of stuff to the bg name guys that they will be in a bidding war for. Buffalo treats all their FA's this way. One of the FA signings (can't remember who) said in the article that some of the teams he visited he never got to meet most of the coaches and personel. Maybe its nothing all that special what they do, but it shows they are one of the classier organisations that treats all of its players equal

Tipster19 Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 Here is a post that features an article that tells of how classy and thorough OUR organization is and it still gets degraded by some of OUR "fans"??!!!
sfladave Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 It seems since the late 80s every FA who has visited Buffalo have all said the Bills are a class organization and have great facilities. What I have not heard lately is how well run it is from top to bottom. I hope Marv can change that, but I think even if he is able to it will take several years.
