BillsGuyInMalta Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 49ers | Team could move up or down in the NFL Draft or stay put Sat, 1 Apr 2006 06:56:15 -0800 Matthew Barrows, of the Sacramento Bee, reports the San Francisco 49ers not only are willing to trade down in the first round of the April 29 NFL Draft but will be receptive to offers of trading up as well. "We've at least talked about it," head coach Mike Nolan said this week at the owners' meeting in Orlando, Fla. The 49ers currently have 11 picks in the draft, including four in the first three rounds, and the coach admitted he has been getting numerous inquiries, some serious, some not, over the last few days. Nolan is quite pleased with the 49ers' positioning and predicted there will be "more than one player we like" when it is their turn to pick. More likely scenarios, however, have the 49ers staying put at No. 6 or trading that pick for even more selections. WOW...good job at getting the scoop Mr. Matty Barrows from the Sacramento Bee. Thats some groundbreaking analysis right there.
