Spoon was damaged goods. Black was a disaster.

Did he ever suit up for us?? 648215[/snapback] Given your posting history there is no doubt you are displeased and/or disgusted by the Bills recent history of 4th round picks. Please tell us what is the acceptable ratio of 4th rounders who contribute. I see our last four 4th round picks are still on the team, including: one pro bowler, a possible starting guard or center, a very good special teams player and a TE back up. Is that bad? Keith Newman is a 7 year vet who played a lot in MN last year. Brandon Spoon STARTED 14 games in 2001 as a rookie when Cowart got hurt. He played very well (esp for a rookie thrown into fire). He projected to compete for a starting job and was at least the primary backup LB when he ruptured his bicep and never really played again. Only Black and Collins never really contributed in the NFL. Is 7 of 9 pretty good? Please inform us.

tennesseeboy
Looks like we've done pretty good in the fourth, especially recently. A pro bowl player, a special teams ace and three back-ups. Hell...I'm not sure our FIRST round picks of late are that much better. Parrish, Losman, McGahee, Williams

BuffaloBilliever
Parrish is great, I will stick with him to the end. The kids got speed and he'll be our second Terrence on return. If he gets open down field, watch out, he made a joke out of the Bengal's secondary in that game. Williams = scrub, and I don't get everyone's obsession with Losman, I think he's no good... Crowell is, as stated by GN, "A great player backing up an excellent player", and Jennings had his time, but I beg to differ with the fourth rounders. Sam Aiken is a great special teams player, Tim Euhus will be a great fit this year with Mark Campbell gone (He's got hands and speed.) Newman, Collins and Black I've never even acknowledged, but Duke should be alright if he takes over for Trey.

My bad, I should have indicated that someplace.

In space no one can hear
I would be happy to get the first pick in the fourth round. Being the first pick of the second day....it is a pick that is often in demand as teams review their draft boards from the first day and stew over the "one player left who that can't belive dropped and is still available" This pick can easily be flipped for a lower fourth pick and then an additional pick. More draft picks sure makes draft day alot more fun!!
Ray
What do you expect out of a fourth rounder? That is a round for depth and ST players. Occasionally you hit on a good starter like McGee, but overall expect a role player. Moulds for a fourth rounder who will maybe on the team for 3-4 years as a role player. Great trade. TKO
Rob Johnson was the 1st pick of the 4th round. If we trade Eric Moulds for the 1st pick of the 4th, then............ EM = RJ

Tasker
Compared to New England: 2005: James Sanders SS Fresno State 2004: Cedric Cobbs RB Arkansas 2003: Dan Klecko DT Temple 2002: Jarvis Green DE Louisiana State 2001: Jabari Holloway TE Notre Dame 2000: Greg Randall T Michigan State 1999: no pick 1998: Leonta Rheams DT Houston Doesn't seem too steller even up there in championship-ville. The fourth round has the occasional diamond in the rough, but doesn't seem to be the cornerstone of winning franchises.
