Who does go "outside the family" for that?  Clinton sure as hell didn't, Bush I didn't, Reagan didn't...that's about as far back as I reasonably remember.

Plus...define the "family".  And consider the source.  PastaJoe would consider it "inside the family" if Bush appointed anyone to the right of Ted Kennedy.

There are competent Republicans such as Ed Gillespie who could give Bush some new perspective on issues and break him out of his myopic thinking. Bring in David Gergan, who has been brought in by previous presidents to offer objective advice. Reagan and Clinton did it and it helped their second terms.

  Damn!  I need to get back into the food biz.  Oh, that's right, pastry chef's are usually French fags.  :P

The White House chefs are bailing out on this ship as well.....

If you can't stand the heat (ie Laura Bush).....

On the residence staff, she is on her second executive chef, Cristeta Comerford. Not least, she is on a search for her third pastry chef now that Thaddeus DuBois has made his last strawberry-rhubarb fool

Not disagreeing at all, but COS is a spot that organizes the others more than implements anything himself. The "institutional knowledge" aspect results in less transition turmoil. I would like to see some new blood brought in too, heck, for that matter hire me.

I don't know, since I've never watched "Hitchhikers". Since it was you, I already pre-ignored it anyway.

The robot, always goes around with the Why should I car attitude, since well noone respects him, or listens anyways. It's quite humorus and one of the few redeeming parts of a very bad movie.

No I am sure they are just confused as usual, thinking it was John, not Josh. That actually would be a shake up at the White House and change of direction.

Finally, something a liberal can comment expertly on.

Damn them Liberals. Liberal is just another term for a Democrat who follows the party line.

You CAN be a liberal that isn't a democrat, fwiw

Thanks for giving me my definition. :P

If the category was "Things AD has Never Said, Nor Thought", you'd actually be correct.

Which somehow goes against my statement? Nope. The liberal mentality and those who subscibe to it are doing nothing more than "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic." History points it out over and over again, regardless of how hard you big government lovers try and spin it. Hence...

I am not French, so I guess that I can't spit on you. P.S. Schumer criticizes anything the President does...rightfully so as the loyal opposition and he did complain that this change wasn't anything of substance.

Been dittod a few times on this post already even by tighty righties.

Its interesting that you continue to lump Liberalism in with big government if you don't believe that liberalism = Democrat.

Liberalism is an extremely broad term, and lumping everyone together is exactly what the Republican party wanted last election. "Tax and spend liberal" and "Big Government Liberal" was thrown around a lot last election.

While it was true that it indeed fit Kerry, the overarching point was to drive home the connotation of "Tax and Spend" and "Big Government" with liberal.

Liberalism has many facits, and you can be for the equality of people facit of liberalism without believing in, say, motherment laws for society (a la Clinton and video games).

Its the same as Bush being a conservative. No one has called his budgets Conservative, but he does subscribe to a more conservative social agenda.
