ExiledInIllinois Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Try Pat Travers "Putting it Straight" LP or CD whatever you want to call it. 642767 That jogs the 'ole memory... Friggan Pat Travers... Boom Boom out go the lights.
VABills Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I'd have to say "You are my sunshine". Since well it makes certain people here just cry they "wittle eyes" out when they hear mention of it. Right Eddie boy?
The Poojer Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Hush Hush I do I..... Too Shy??? 642649
HopsGuy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 The wife says she nearly cries every time we see the commerical with the song '100 years' in it, where the couple falls in love, has kids, and grows old. Dunno what it's selling, credit cards I think. I tell the wife she's too much of a sentimentalist, though it does seem to get a little dusty around here when it's on... 642724 Yeah, it's for Citibank. I'll admit that I downloaded the sheet music.
The Dean Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Yeah, it's for Citibank. I'll admit that I downloaded the sheet music. 644655 It's a pretty song...but what's with the "ridiculous singing"? It's become a trend recently (I blame Dave Mathews).
Gavin in Va Beach Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 It's a pretty song...but what's with the "ridiculous singing"? It's become a trend recently (I blame Dave Mathews). 644676 Guthrie, Dylan, and Petty have them all beat...
The Dean Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Guthrie, Dylan, and Petty have them all beat... 644683 Different "ridiculous"...but, your point is taken. (BTW, add Springsteen to your list.)
HopsGuy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 It's a pretty song...but what's with the "ridiculous singing"? It's become a trend recently (I blame Dave Mathews). 644676 Not sure. There was an REM song a few years back sung in a falsetto, but Michael Stipe explained that the song was supposed to be a woman's point of view. Mathews is probably to blame. John Mayer does something similar and he was with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Hard to argue with that.
Catholic Guilt Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Who hasn't made out to that album at least once? 642654 You for starters....
