This rant came up after watching hurricane stuff today and thinking about dealing with my insurance company after the Isabel in Alexandria, VA. I never filed a claim. 642584[/snapback] Ours came about under flood insurance, we were in the 100 year flood plane, guy living there 60 years lost his house had never seen a flood. Hurrican pushed 11 feet of water up the Potomac, insurance covered about 60 percent, FEMA about 20 percent and the rest came out of pocket. Something about dipreciation on goods, even then we had to argue, what a scam and then our insurance tripled.
