107.7 The Lake

Previously I've only listened to it on my annual trips back to Buff.  Why do I all of a sudden feel the urge to drink too much?

You can put on a few pounds listening to the Lake. Nice to have a 12 pack of beer or a good bottle of wine.

Now streaming!!  Now I don't have to listen to the crap southern CA radio stations.

Hey, man. We have stations in LA.

There's Menudo 104.1 FM.

There's Machaca 105.1 FM.

There's Bandito 106.1 FM.

Then there's Heidi Frosty and So-n-so talking about American Idol every morning.

Then there's Saigon 96.5.

What about K-Earth? Or JACK FM? Or KFWB 980 A.M.!!!

There's plenty of good radio here, if you like mariachi music!

And yet you can put it all together and listen to it 24/7 and will never be as great as having Howard Stern pay porn stars to masterbate because...you know...that's REAL radio.

Have they started broadcasting TV commercials in Spanish yet?  We have that here in Habana Norte.

That would not be new. I can remember listening to the Yankees games, on the radio, in the 50's, in Spanish.

And the count is: dos y dos!

But have you listened to his replacement, Adam Carola?   :(

I actually caught some of his show that was running in the week or so leading up to it's debut. Not sure where the material was from, but I have to say it was funny as all hell. Mindless humor on life's idiosyncrasies, like trying to understand why we've never been able to get restaurants and companies who make microwaves on the same page.

"If we're not going to be able to put metal in a microwave, then someone needs to tell Luigi to put my leftover rigatoni and sausage in a paper container. But don't to it like Ming Chao, who sends me home with leftovers in a paper container, but decides to attach a wire hanger to it."

Stupid as it is, it's still funnier than Stern.

I have not really listened to too much. Maybe it's his voice that I can't stand, but I've not been able to last more than 3 minutes before I have to change. At least Bill Handel has zero political correctness. Did you hear the issue with the guy getting fired for saying that Condi Rice as the NFL commissioner would be a big coup in the NFL? If you didn't run coup and in together and you'll get it. Some very politically incorrect stuff on Handel's show.
