maverick544
Why in the world would the Red Skin's pay 3 Million for a bench warmer of like 12 years. He Must make real good Gatorade. 2.5 Mil 2 year contract, with 495K Signing bonus, wtf.

The question is: Who was the best QB the Colts could find to back-up Peyton Manning last season. JDG

JDG 638443[/snapback] Actually, the answer is Al Saunders. Collins knows the offense, he has been playing in it for ever. Jason Campbell is still young and probably not ready to back up Brunell. Collins will act as a tutor.
VABills
Where did they pay 3 million? He is being paid 2.5 million with part of that 2.5 being guarenteed in the form of a 495K bonus. So he will make 2.05 over 2 years in salary. That is pretty much league minimum for a player with 12 years in the NFL. So the skins got a decent backup for league minimum and a little bonus. Not bad over all.
KRT88
I should have been a backup quarterback! A million bucks to sit on the bench and watch film. What a tough life.
Hirly5
A 3rd string QB or the 12th man on a NBA team have to be the best jobs in sports. Make the league minimum of 6 figures and get great seats for the games.
