TH and WM...the bottom line.

Travis in under contract, and IS our starting running back for the 2004 season.

Willis has never played a regular season down in the NFL. He is under contract as well.

Given the aforementioned, the bottom line is this...if either of them wants to play hardball and sit out, they are in violation of their contracts. They can just sit there and rot. The Bills are under NO obligation to trade EITHER of them until the Bills are good and ready (after the end of the 2004 season).

I think the Bills are taking the appropriate stance...just going about their business. If either of these clowns try to pull something stupid, they better be prepared to sit at home until the come to their senses.

I view this entire situation like this. When I hear them B word, I just lean back, smile and say "Thats nice that you feel that way...but you both are still under contract for this year and next, so there goes that leverage. Go out there...play...and may the best back win".

I said it before and I'll say it again...one of them is gone, but it wont happen until this offseason when we find out if McGahee can hold up to a full season's beating. Let them complain all they want I say.

My point exactly. It's all hot air and agent stevestojan.

Yeah, what's Willis gonna do, hold out? The guy has ZERO LEVERAGE. If he holds out now, he doesn't get to showcase his skills, he gets the reputation of being a first-class ASSCLOWN, and the Bills don't suffer in the least because they already have a Pro Bowl starter at that position.

This was a really stupid miscalculation by someone... although, my guess is, if this is really true, it is just an attempt to plant the seed in TD's head that these two guys won't be content to go into NEXT season like this, and that one of them has to be moved next offseason. Well, DUH.

It all seems kind of unnecessary. I think everyone on this board knows that we wont have Henry AND McGahee in 2005, hell we could have told you that the day after McGahee was drafted a year ago.

I will say this though...I think the bar is going to be set extremely low for McGahee. I dont even think he has to perform amazingly for the Bills to keep him and trade Henry in the offseason. I think as long as McGahee shows he can take a full season's beating and remain relatively healthy (regardless of how many yards or TDs he has), then Henry will be the one who is traded. It takes two years to come back from an ACL injury, so I do expect some rust and slowness in McGahee this year that should be completely gone by next season as long as he stays off the injured list.

Yeah...the miscalculation was by Rosenshit. As Willis's contract is so heavily incentive-laden, the more money he makes, the more money Rosenshit makes.

And so go pro sports...rah rah rah. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:

See, I don't have a problem with that part of it - that's part of the agent's job. But, in this case, what does RosenRosen think the Bills are gonna do? He's trying to play a game of chicken, but his side has no leverage or options. Holding out is NOT an option, because of the reasons I stated above, and also because then Willis/Rosenpenis reach even less of the escalators. It's just stupid.
