Realist Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 If this was to happen I'd have to think we would take AJ Hawk. Here me out before you say "we need OL help first". I know we do but the OL talent is so deep we could get a good one in the second round. I believe both London & Posey are both UFA's next year. 637080 I don't think it will happen, but, if Ferguson falls to us at 8, no matter who is still on the board, its a no brainer...we take Ferguson. My heart would stop right then and there if we let him go. The OL is where we need the most help, if you have a chance to improve it with someone like that, you take it.
Ramius Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Good, it would allow us to take Bunkley. This should be our draft board. 1. D'Brick 2. Bunkley/Huff
2003Contenders Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I've been thinking about what we've seen out of the front office in free agency. They've only been entertaining and signing players that are -- for lack of a better word -- sleepers. That is, guys who are somewhat under the radar but potentially could be up and comers. If they take the same tact in the draft, instead of investing in a high profile prospect, I would expect them to use the #8 pick to trade down to acquire more picks -- and take some guys that may not have as much upside, but who may be less of a risk. While that should be a good way to handle this draft, there could be many of us screaming bloody murder if Marv decides to trade down with someone like Ferguson still on the clock. Of course, if that were to happen, we'd have to hope that the additional draft picks would be too lofty for him to refuse.

They are probably going to trade down and save some money plus get some more picks to boot. Sounds good to me. I'm still a little scared of getting and OL in the first round Damb MW.
truth on hold Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Rumors around the NFL (Sirius NFL Radio - gotta love it!!!) say that with the signing of Pickett, Green Bay may look for a big body DT to complement KGB and Kampman to make one hell of a D-line. If that is true, what does it mean for the Bills' draft board (assuming we do not trade the pick)?? Just for fun, lets assume the draft goes..... 1 Houston - Reggie Bush 2. NYJ (trade w/ NO)- Matt Leinhart 3. TEN- Vince Young, QB TEX 4. NO (trade w/jets) - Mario Williams 5. GB- Ngata 6. SF- Michael Huff, S TEX (Maybe Davis) 7. OAK- Jay Cutler, QB VAND - losing out on the Danta sweepstakes would make then take one of the top 3 QBs BUFFALO - Does Brick fall to us? Also could have TE Davis if SF passes. 636955 looks like we're going to end up w/ pretty same D & O-lines we had last year. looks like 5 & 11 too
ndirish1978 Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 We're not signing a TE in the first round. Stop dreaming. We will take Hawk of Brick with our pick.
stinky finger Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Maybe we could trade with the Packers or the Jets? 636965 Not worth it.
krazykat Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 H. Ngata may go to GB at 5 636955 He could also go to NO at 4, SF at 7, or Oakland at 8. Or even TEN at 3 or Houstong or the Jets.
John from Riverside Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 If the brick falls to us and we have to take him....oh darn
