slothrop Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 With the making of Dukes of Hazzard and with Dallas and Magnam PI being made into movies, it got me thinking - what shows from the 1980's should be made into a movie? Here are the ones I thought of: - A-Team - the one with the fancy helicopter with Lorne Green (can't remember the name) - Knight Rider Any others? (it was a bad era for TV)
taterhill Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 CHIPS..without a doubt....best theme song ever...

Just Jack Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 - the one with the fancy helicopter with Lorne Green (can't remember the name) 636578[/snapback] Blue Thunder? That started as a movie.
kasper13 Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I just read the other day that they are remaking "Welcome Back Kotter". It will star Ice Cube as Mr. Kotter and is set in South Central LA. No joke. Should be out this summer.
Fezmid Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 - the one with the fancy helicopter with Lorne Green (can't remember the name) Airwolf?
bills_fan Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Any others? (it was a bad era for TV) Unfortunately it was a better era than anything in the recent past. And the remake into a movie I'd like to see is Cheers...original cast.
BB27 Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 My brother works out in LA in the "business", and I keep telling him to get the rights to the 6 million dollar man. With todays special effects, that could be a great movie.

Dimension will be the lead studio on the film with Andrew Rona and Brad Weston, Co-Presidents of Dimension, overseeing with Mary Parent, President of Production overseeing for Universal Pictures."
CosmicBills Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I had a lecture a few months ago with the guy currently assigned to write the A-Team movie. It is coming soon. A big 120 million dollar budget with a big cast. 50 Cent turned down the role of BA (thank god). The fact that he was offered the role terrified me though.
