Matt Bowen not posted yet...but its a $2 Million contract for 2 years--so assume $1 Million cap hit. Mario Haggan--because he was tendered his money was already in the cap..but assume same as Stamer. Josh Reed is not filed yet..but from the other structures I would assume his cap hit is around $1.5 Million for 06 So -- lets review... Tripplett Cap hit for 06 is $1.86 Million Davis $1.3 Million Royal $1.1 Million Jerman $ .63 Million Bowen $1 Million Haggan $ .038M Stamer $.038 Million Reed $1.5 Million We have spent about $7.5 Million of an available $15 Million in cap room to sign these players..still plenty of room to go. Marv is definitely !@#$ing up his legacy...
Dan Gross Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I take it you combined the compensation numbers from NFLPA with the SB from Clayton, then called the remaining "incentive" money?
JoeF Posted March 19, 2006 Author Posted March 19, 2006 I take it you combined the compensation numbers from NFLPA with the SB from Clayton, then called the remaining "incentive" money? 634918[/snapback] Exactly Dan...don't know whether the methodology is valid -- but its probably a pretty good way to calculate this coming years cap hit.

Thanks for the effort...I was wondering how long it would take the nflpa web site to update...

Doing nothing with Moulds--we have about $3.5 M left to keep a Rookie Pool.... We also now have over 51 players under contract which means that the lowest salary drops off the cap count every time we sign someone....
eSJayDee Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Nice work compiling info. I'd like to point out that w/ the cap figure now at $104m or whatever, avg cap per player is over $1.8m, which means all we've signed so far is below avg players. (I realize that distribution of cap hits is far from normal, more like log-normal w/ a few players getting big chunks & the majority all 'near' the mean. But this still means that we haven't made ANY blockbuster signings, although I'm optimistic that Tripplet will be a significant contributor.)
clumping platelets Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Triplett Signing Bonus was $5.5 Million Likely to be earned incentives $4.25 million Cap hit year one is $1.86 Million How do you know that the $4.25 million is LTBE??? That $4.25 million could be a combination of roster/option/NLTBE/LTBE/workout bonuses over the 5 yrs... same can be said for the other players
