Lv-Bills Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 That's pretty much what you'll read about him if you go to the Jets board. And it's not like a handful of posters, it's consensus opinion. This looks like another Bennie Anderson flop in the making.... just say NO to other teams' garbage. 632788 I mean, he's kind of a household name.....Fabini. So, I see it on here, and I'm thinking......OK......maybe this isn't bad. And then I call him............and he is ecstatic to get rid of him. I mean giddy. This is a guy who bets on everything he can and goes to a lot of Jets games. Those guys usually can tell you some pretty good info. And he's giddy to get rid of him. Not good. Not that this guy runs the team or anything, but he usually has a good pulse on what's going on with the Jets. UGH! We're officially picking through the scraps now.

They all laughed and laughed and laughed. And the worst part was I had no comeback, because they knew that I knew how bad he sucked. You know that lame joke, "Gee, I've heard of him, let's sign him?" It's never lamer than when it might become reality.
jarthur31 Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Why haven't we addressed the offensive line yet in free agency? Wasn't this the weakest part of the Buffalo Bills for the last 7 years? I just don't understand what is going on with this team anymore. 632719 I'm waiting for that too but remember we were just outbid the other day. How much should we spend on a big name? What if that salary is detrimental the offense as a whole?
BB2004 Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 OK, the trade is our #1 and both #3's for the Broncos 2 #1's and a #2.Maybe you'll like this one better. 1a. Nick Mangold 1b. Max Jean-Gilles 2a. Marcus McNeill 2b. Deuce Lutui Peters - Giles - Mangold - Lutui - McNeill - ROYAL See, I'm easy to work with. 632765 Solid. I'd be happy with that.
Stiffler Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Apologies for being a wet blanket (realist), but the Bills are not going to make the playoffs this year (below average OL, DL, QB, TE; average LB, DB, RB). If I were running this team, I wouldn't be spending all of my cap space on a 2006 team that wasn't going to win either. I would wait for 2007, when the cap increase is much less than it was this year. Teams already having spent everything they can to win this year won't have as much ability to spend and compete for FAs. The Bills will be in great cap shape for runs at FAs in 2007 or 2008. If we can get a longterm deal on a FA this year at a good price, great. If not (and apparently we cannot), wait until next year. Sad, but true. And savvy.
