Ghost of BiB Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Oops - sorry, with all the huss fuss in Buffalo these days about the Bioinformatics Center at UB, I didn't think it was that obscure. Basically, I work on designing, building and supporting computer applications and databases that deal with data from biological research, in my cases, almost exclusively stuff related to the Human Genome Project. Hope that helps. If not, this Wikipedia entry is pretty accurate: Bioinformatics Best, Charles 633879 Thanks. I hadn't heard that one before. I'm still going on Ramius, and anyone who knew what he was talking about. Some smart people here. The ones who lurk, and never post, I wonder about.
stuckincincy Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 almost exclusively stuff related to the Human Genome Project. Charles 633879 Interesting. Are ethics discussed in the pursuit of such? I'm curious to know. Asimov's "Brave New World", etc., and religious matters?
Chef Jim Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 As long as you throw in a Praise Hashem in the verse. 633868 Praise Hashish? Yeah, I can do that.
Ramius Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Thanks. I hadn't heard that one before. I'm still going on Ramius, and anyone who knew what he was talking about. Some smart people here.
