Bash_Gash Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 NFL | Bernard to make an undisclosed visit Sun, 12 Mar 2006 22:15:20 -0800 Danny O'Neil, of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, reports free agent DT Rocky Bernard (Seahawks) has a visit scheduled for the upcoming week, but his agent's office has declined to disclose his travel plans. Maybe it is the visit Marv talked about when he spoke with the press about the 3 FA signings. I sure hope so.
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I have this vision of Rocky bernard dressed up like an old school sleuth coming into the airport and getting into a waiting limo all Incognito
Bash_Gash Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6032/ PRETTY darn good for a DT, especially the sack numbers

Seattle had the best dline last season. Bernard is a relatively young and pretty damn good player.

ans4e64 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 i'll actually be at the airport monday morning, i'll look for him and george seivert
CajunBillsBacker Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 He's a Texas A&M alum. We know how much the Bills love DT's from there.

Stl Bills Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 we do? considering there are none on our roster 626480 Yeah but Phat Pat and Big Sam were both from A&M, so the man does have a point
MartyBall4Buffalo Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Ron Edwards is from Texas A&M as well. So yeah the point is valid
ans4e64 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Ron Edwards is from Texas A&M as well. So yeah the point is valid 626485 yeah i know they were on the roster, and at one time, they were our top 3. however, we have an entire new GM and HC, and none of those players are on the roster, so how can you say we love them? if we loved them we wouldnt have let pat walk, we wouldnt have cut adams, and we would have edwards re-signed.
scribo Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 This is kind of odd -- Bernard's agent turned down a invite from the Giants because of this mystery visit. Why would a team want to keep it secret that they were having a quality free agent visit? The only thing I can think of is that the team doesn't want to upset a player already on its roster in case Bernard does not sign. That type of situation would not happen with the Bills, I don't think, as Marv Levy has already made it clear the Bills are in the market for another DT.

I like Ngata but if we can fill the DT spot with a quality FA then that frees us up for Davis, Huff ("special" players) or free to trade down and pick up more draft picks.
scribo Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Doesn't look like Davis will be there anymore at #8.
Just Jack Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I'll ask AIO. 626502 I thought this thread was about AiO's husband also.
