Alaska Darin Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 "They were going to score some goals tonight. They got eight against Tampa Bay. They are the most skilled team in the league. They have four No. 1 lines and really fast guys. Too bad we needed four more seconds." Flyers goalie Antero Niittymaki when talking about the BUFFALO SABRES. What a difference one season of no hockey and some rule changes have made for the hometown heroes.

I LOVE the depth on this team...so it's time for Marty to get some action while Miller takes a breather. We'll need a hot goalie come palyoff time.

Wife's boss gave us his tickets for the game. On the ice. Behind the away goal. It'll be the first time this year I've seen them play. Yeah, I'm psyched. I'll be the big guy sitting next to the redhead, three rows up, behind and to the right of the goalie.
Alaska Darin Posted March 12, 2006 Author Posted March 12, 2006 That's cool. The Caps have played better lately so that could turn out to be a pretty good game. I got to watch them play NJ the other night and they put together a solid effort.

Still, it'll be a treat just to watch 1) the Sabres, and 2) Ovechkin. Want to come watch 'em? Caps are selling seats at $5/seat now...

The Sens sounded like the Sens, the Caps sounded like a team I might pay $5 to see.

They're a couple of years away but if they can get a couple of pieces to go with AO they could have something.

The Sens sounded like the Sens, the Caps sounded like a team I might pay $5 to see. 626047[/snapback] The Sens, at some point in the second period, took a reported twenty seconds for a line change, for which time the Caps had a five on two advantage. And didn't score. I'm not even sure they crossed center ice. And I don't see what lowering the cost to $5 is going to do, either. Why would I pay five bucks for the privelige of drinking watered-down Bud Light at $6/glass?

Bud Light always seems to taste like it was strained through cooked rice. Oh, and I forgot. $6 a glass. ouch. For a hockey game that would set me back about $36.
