jarthur31 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Damn, but holy crap that makes Bentley look cheap! No way could we make an offer like that. 625994 And some of the membership here bitched and moaned that Ralph wouldn't play ball with the CBA! Those are some outrageous numbers blue collar towns like Buffalo have no way in hell of matching! Yes, we need talent but there is a ceiling here unlike so many big market teams.
Bill from NYC Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Those are some outrageous numbers blue collar towns like Buffalo have no way in hell of matching! 626207 I agree with you, but not fully. Look at Moulds for instance. I am thinking that more than half of the posters here want to keep him. The thing is, cutting him now would free up a bundle for NEXT season. We might even (I don't know) save money on Milloy in 07, and Vincent as well. We are sitting well for the draft this year (and probably 07) as well. My point is that it is a workable system. Dan Rooney's team beat Paul Allen's team in the sb, and Paul Allen just lost Hutch as well. The story is told that RWS got this football team for 25 thousand dollars. The team could probably sell now for half a billion. He is not young, and there is nothing to stop him from using just a tad of equity if it means winning. Wins would also soften the blow of possible increases in terms of ticket prices. A few days ago, I posted some not so nice things about RW. They sounded worse than intended. I am sorry to those I offended, especially because I do not think that Ralph is a bad, nor stupid man. The thing is, at a time when he claims to be getting more "involved," the game might really be passing him by. Ok, I am an over the edge fan, but I still think that it is possible for our beloved franchise to win, if we are managed properly.
BB2004 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl first year is supposedly high cap # so that the hawks won't be able to match it. 625992 Wow. They had the money and they got the guy they wanted. They now have a left side of an offensive line that is very good.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Wow. They had the money and they got the guy they wanted. They now have a left side of an offensive line that is very good. True. Except for McKinnie. [running for cover]
