gblakely14 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Browns | Rumor alert: Team trying to trade Faine? Sun, 12 Mar 2006 08:30:21 -0800 Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports there is some talk the Cleveland Browns are trying to trade OC Jeff Faine. He is a three-year starter and former first-round draft pick who is just 24 years old.
bartshan-83 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 I havent followed his pro career as much as I would have liked, but he was a monster at ND. Big-time leader and discipline guy. Wouldn't mind seeing him here at all.
Clockwork Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 This guy is a solid player, and really started to pick it up last season. I would certainly like to see him as a Bill.
Acantha Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 It would be interesting to see what they want. I'm sure it's more than we can afford.

Trade would have to be contingent on a fair contract extension/restructuring.

I haven't followed his career all that close but have watched him a liitle. I think injuries might be the issue, rather than performance.

So he'd be fairly cheap.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 The guy has never played a full season in his 3-year NFL career...no thanks.

Fan in San Diego Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Faine wiould be huge. I was pissed when he was picked just ahead of us a few years back. He would be great. From what I have seen of him he was solid.
Fan in San Diego Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 aquisistion of the off season. Git er done Marv !
Zac Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 1. Faine isn't a free agent. 2. I would rather just go with Preston.
WVUFootball29 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Faine is worth that second 3rd round pick to me. I have a feeling he'll move over to guard though in Cleveland

MDH Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Zak: 1. correct 2. WRONG 634446[/snapback] How exactly is Zac wrong when he says he would rather go with Preston? Are you claiming that Zac wouldn't rather go with Preston? I guess you know more about Zak's preferences than Zac does.
socalfan Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Faine finished a couple of seasons on the IR. Last year he was injured again. He now plays at 285-290. He isn't a good fit in the AFC East diviision. http://www.kffl.com/popuphotw.php?id=234744
