BILLiever
I think the whole signing of Royal was so that he could be a solid back up/ competitor for the starting job with Everett.
billsfan182
i think he was mainly signed for blocking, and we will probobly continue our "bread and butter" formation with two TE's Everett, and Royal with Ehus as a backup
Buftex
I think the whole signing of Royal was so that he could be a solid back up/ competitor for the starting job with Everett. 624989 It seems like they are paying him a lot, to merely challange an untested player for the starting role... I hope the Bills give Everett a real shot to be a part of the offense. He is still raw (missing his rookie season doesn't help) but he could be a huge playmaker, given a chance... nemhoff
Everett, I fell, will be a player and we have just to get him on the field. Although, after seeing some tape of Davis, I would not at mind taking him as well. He is a player.

Real ringing endorsement.

Not much to go off of here except the previous staff's feelings, considering he's been injured.
Buffalo Wing
I think the whole signing of Royal was so that he could be a solid back up/ competitor for the starting job with Everett. 624989 No. The signing of Royal was primarily for blocking. This move is primarily to add some additional force to the offensive line.
