Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 He's very fast. Probably the fastest or 2nd fastest player on this team. And I do recall in one game in 03, Moorman dropped the ball on a punt. He pick the ball up and ran 20 year downfield for a first down. Also I remember in 03, Kevin Thomas was lined up,unguarded on a punt on Moorman's left. Moorman realized this and threw him the ball. This also resulted in a first down.I've also heard that he does have a pretty good arm. I've heard he's like a Randel El, except for a slightly weaker arm. Even so he would be perfect on a fake punt and run or a fake punt and pass.
Fezmid Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 And if he gets hit and injured....? You'd want to run those plays in a very limited fashion.

stinky finger Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Moorman should be a staple in the offensive package.

In this day of ST specialists you rather not risk injury to one of the best punters in the league. But in a sticky situation, it's nice to know you've got an Ace in the hole back there. Under the right circumstance, a coach will run a junk from the back of the playbook just to give next week's coach something to practice against.
Mikie2times Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I would like to know what Jzmack thinks of Moormans speed
PromoTheRobot Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 They do and he has...think back to 2004's Oakland game. Moorman said it's his job to check if his wingmen are covered. If not, it's his call to fake. But you know if you fake all the time, it limits it's usefulness. PTR
ans4e64 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 every team has fake punts, and moorman is involved in them. just because we dont need to use them cuz we suck, doesnt mean we dont have them.
kgun Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I love to use Moorman's arm on a fake punt while playing madden. The guy has a descent arm. I try to look for Eric King hanging on the left side or if he starts going up the middle, I fire a pass at him. Usually he will make the catch for the first. Give it a whirl against a friend.
Ozymandius Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 We can't risk injury to our best player like that.
