Gardinier Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 He is the Dtackle we are looking for. Ngata is good but Bunkley has a high motor. Back to character-can Ngata get lazy? Ngata didn't do anything in Bowl game. Bunkley is attack style with a high motor which results in high draft pick.
Stl Bills Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Um, no. 623045[/snapback] I could see it happening, Bunkley had a great year last year and was a freak at the combine...super strong. I woudn't mind trading down with a team like St. Louis and trying to pick up an extra second, just have to find the right partner. IMHO he might turn out to be the better pro, although they are two differernt types of DT.
JStranger76 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Oh I agree in the trade down scenario, but no way at 8.
Stl Bills Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 In all honesty I still don't think that he is that big of a reach even at 8, he might even jump ahead of Ngata on some draft boards by the time the draft actually roles around. If you have NFL network, NFL total access is just starting and they highlight all the DTs and DEs in the draft, Bunckley is freaking monster. Check out how fluid he is in his movements and 44 reps of 225 on the bench is pretty fugging impressive.
DanInSouthBuffalo Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I saw the report on DT's on the NFL Network tonight. Ngata is starting to scare me a bit because some say he's a "two gap" player that is suited to a 3-4 defense, and that teams running a 4-3 are going to have to decide if he's a 3-down player.
