Has anyone read "Castles of Steel" by Robert Massie? My boss gave it to me to read last night, looks like it might be pretty good but it's about 110,000 pages long.

Not yet. That and Massie's "Dreadnought" are on the list...but pretty far down, as have thirteen volumes of Morrison to still read. :)

While we're being all literary and all, I'm still waiting for a certain Ghost's coworker to finish writing his book on the War of Northern Aggression.

 

Is it done now and if so, do you know the title?

No, the last time I talked to him he was doing some travelling researching the last two chapters. I don't know that he's thought of a title, either. The subject matter is the lives before, during (and for those who survived) somewhat after the war of the West Point class of 1862. So, there is a lot of digging.
