Eastside Oasis Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 per ESPN news. A vote was just taken and a new contract is ratified. Salary cap will be higher than expected so some teams may keep their free agents.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Very cool. They must have worked it out in the end.
Crows57 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 30-2 vote yes. Ralph was one of the nos per ESPNnews. Cincy was the other no vote.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted March 9, 2006 Author Posted March 9, 2006 Ralph voted against it. That might not be good news.
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2360258 Finally!!
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 We were one of the teams to vote against the deal! Lets go, Buffalo!
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 We were one of the teams to vote against the deal! Lets go, Buffalo! 621724 I wonder why we voted against it? This will be discussed by fans tomorrow morning in the Buffalo area. This makes us look bad in the NFL now.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I should be suspended for wasting bandwidth.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Anyone else concerned that Ralph was trying to keep football from us this year?
CJPearl2 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 You beat me to it. Great post. People just need to be heard.

PromoTheRobot Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Anyone else concerned that Ralph was trying to keep football from us this year? 621730 Huh? PTR
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Huh? PTR 621735 It was just a joke...honestly I'm sure we'll find why Ralph decided to vote against, but in this case I'm glad he was out-voted.
JimBob2232 Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 He MAY have thought no CBA was good for the bills due to a glut of FAs on the market driving down prices... But you see this in the senate sometimes too. Once you know you are going to lose, side with the winning side so it cant be used against you. Odd vote if you ask me. My guess is it was a "principled" vote...which is interesting. More to come imsure
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 It was just a joke...honestly I'm sure we'll find why Ralph decided to vote against, but in this case I'm glad he was out-voted. 621736 Don't worry this means nothing to the Bills and Bengals. By Saturday everyone will forget that they were the two teams who voted against the deal. Now we can and must focus on the rebuilding of this team.
PromoTheRobot Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I'd love to know why Ralph voted against it. Was it becuase it caved in to the rich owners, or was Ralph just holding on to unrealistic terms? PTR
