dreadlox Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 what about the teams who are abidding by the rules and released players? well, in all likelyhood, the cba will still not be settled by monday and the teams over the cap will still have to purge. i do agree though that this is a move that some teams who have prepared well will be rightly very upset about. most notably denver and miami. as far as we're concerned i don't know that the lower cap had such a profound effect on our cuts.

BADOLBILZ Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 what about the teams who are abidding by the rules and released players? 616754 They get rewarded by looking foolish to their fanbase.
Dan Gross Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Bingo. I guess all you can say is that those teams ought to have waited til 9:59:59 PM EST to make their cuts. Live and learn, Marv. 616790 Live and learn? I think the players released yesterday would likely have been released regardless of the deadline. I think there is a "second tier" of cuts that will happen based on when this is "finalized" (buzzer-beaters, as it were).
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 So the NFL awards do-overs now, like backyard football? Think we could use our "do-over" on that SB XXV kick? Its only fair!
