Hardy Pyle
The dollar rose to 88.39 cents (U.S.), its highest level since November, 1991. Among the 62 global currencies tracked by Bloomberg News, the loonie is the world's best-performing currency this week against the U.S. dollar, with a 1.8-per-cent gain. It's going to kill alot of our exporters though! But at least a vacation to the states won't be as expensive!

Wacka
I don't know how old you are, but most of my childhood, the Loonie (although it wasn't around) was worth about $1.04 US.

Fan in San Diego
My Dad is Canadian. When he first start working for GM in the 60's the Canadian dollar was worth more than the US dollar. He almost didn't take a job in the US because he was cashing his US check and it was reduced by 6 or 7 percent. Glad he took the job though in hind sight !
