Griz Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Given the latest news, you'd have to think it is also NECESSARY for players to reworked many deals today... that is if they want to play football. Seems the complextion of everyone's situation has just changed dramatically. You would have to think that is factoring into EM's decision now, eh?

I think that it certainly gives the Bills the upperhand. They can restructure his contract and he will still get significantly more now than he would on the open market. It also limits the number of contenders out there that can bid for his services. That could be why the Bills have waited to release him, anticipating the situation that we have now.
