NFL | Owners continuing to meet

Tue, 7 Mar 2006 16:02:01 -0800

Dave Goldberg, of the Associated Press, reports NFL owners are continuing to meet in Dallas, trying to decide whether to accept the union's latest proposal. A decision on whether to extend the collective bargaining agreement was unlikely to come down until Wednesday, March 8, close to the latest deadline of 8 p.m. EST. Most of the first three hours of Tuesday's meeting, March 7, was spent simply listening to commissioner Paul Tagliabue go through details of the union's proposal. "It's going to be a while. Quite a while," said Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson, one of leading proponents of revenue sharing.
