not sure we are spiralling dont need to trim 20 players like deadskins might but marv looked awfully old yesterday this has got to be driving him nuts first GM gig and the league is imploding

I didn't get that, either. How does the league's salary cap situation equate to

"we suck" ? I'd say Buffalo is in a rather neutral situation compared to the rest of the league as far as any ramifications that could happen to each team.

Also, to get back on message. It's after noon, so those rumors of "200 players being cut" need to start getting confirmed pretty soon....

All clubs should announce cuts at 9:59 PM - keep them players, agents, and media hacks up all night long! ;)

Brady Smith Atlanta DE

ESPN.com has confirmed that the Falcons on Thursday will release 10-year veteran defensive end Brady Smith, which will save $2.5 million against the salary cap. Smith, 32, was limited to a career-low five appearances in 2005 because of injuries. He underwent neck surgery in July, which forced him to miss training camp and then, after returning sooner than expected, suffered a foot injury that ended his year.

Falcons | Team adjusts money due to Vick, opens salary cap room

Thu, 2 Mar 2006 10:25:42 -0800

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Atlanta Falcons have guaranteed a $7 million roster bonus due to QB Michael Vick. The move creates about $5.25 million in additional room under the salary cap. The team basically turned his roster bonus into a signing bonus, which allows them to prorate it over the remainder of the contract.

Alls fair.

It's currently on ESPNews. I'm sure ESPN will have the article up shortly

I also noticed this tidbit at the bottom of the article:

In another cap-related matter, agent Hadley Engelhard confirmed to ESPN.com that tailback Travis Henry has restructured his contract to provide the Titans some cap relief. Henry, 27, missed four games in 2005 because of a violation of the NFL substance abuse policy. In 10 games, but just one start, Henry carried 88 times for 335 yards.

Remember last offseason when people were calling him a top 5 or top 10 RB? ;)
