Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Is anyone going to watch this? It seems like a waste of a good evening.
KRC Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Is anyone going to watch this? It seems like a waste of a good evening. 614147 I watched it for about 5 minutes. That was more than enough.
Just Jack Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 It's okay, but there was an article I saw somewhere that they refered to it as a "game show for the low-iq" types.
eball Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Apparently the only requirement of being a contestant is that you must possess absolutely no mathematical ability whatsoever.

KRC Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 you mean lower than Wheel of Fortune? 614192 Wheel of Fortune is much more difficult. You need to know your letters and be able to spell.
ajzepp Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I watched half of an episode the last time it was on a month ago or whatever.....I thought it was pretty boring, but at the same time I'd love to go on there. Talk about easy money.
Just Jack Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 you mean lower than Wheel of Fortune? 614192 Read KRC's response for what I would have said. In the meantime, you can play it online.
CoachChuckDickerson Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I like the show, but then I like Howard Stern too......
Chilly Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I had it on last night while I was doing other stuff. Was kinda dumb.
The Avenger Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 This is the ultimate show for Tivo! Seriously, you don't need to hear it at all - all you need to do is see what case the person took, what subsequent cases he/she selected, what values are still on the board, what offer the banker is making and whether the person takes the deal. So... You can actually watch the entire show at triple fast forward speed on Tivo! Try it - you can watch the entire hour show in about 6 minutes! When you don't have time for commercials OR a TV show, this Tivo and Deal or No Deal is for you!

Looks like a yawner so maybe we'll try your method.

Most of the show is Howie Mandel asking "what case do you want", "that's the banker calling", etc....
Fezmid Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I saw the show once late last year. All the models walking in with the money was the highlight. After that, you can turn it off. CW
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 What's the whole objective to winning? Is it like the show "Greed" a couple years ago, except in a different format?
ajzepp Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 What's the whole objective to winning? Is it like the show "Greed" a couple year ago, except in a different format? 614431 Well at least Greed had trivia and team dynamics.....this show is mostly mindless. If you understand the concept of odds, you can win money - with very little risk of walking away with nothing.

All I remember is "expected value."
stevestojan Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I'm currently watching a women gamble what she just admitted is 3 times her annual salary on what is statistically worse than a coin toss. At least millionaire required a brain.

They need to have like a whammy thing in one of the boxes or something just to make it interesting. At least they had a SWAT officer win yesterday.....that was good.
