VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 ...that looks a lot like a shovel. 613619 So. A drone looks like a remote control airplane , but everyone knows it is a harm launching platform that can carry corrosive nerve agent munitions.
VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 OK. If my life depends on unfolding a travel shovel to defend myself, I'd say I have bigger problems. Unless I'm guarding my cat hole, maybe. 613621 Careful or Toms cats will want one, if they read this board again.
Ghost of BiB Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 See, in the Army this is an entrenching tool. Digs Holes We usually had better things to do than try to bury ourselves with pooper scoopers.
GG Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 It's a collapsable battle axe that can serve as a shovel type tool. 613617 Looks a lot like this shovel.

That and water borne taxi service are two of the things the Navy does right.
VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Looks a lot like this shovel. 613631 That's a civilian website. What the !@#$ do they know? They probably sell pinecone frag grenades.

Tough choice here."
VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 So, you don't need one after all. "Hmm, bad guys coming. Machine gun? Or folding shovel? Tough choice here." 613636 Neither. That what M82's are for. http://www.marines.com/page/usmc.jsp?pageI...shRedirect=true

None of this is germane to the thread. Sorry, Scraps.

Sorry, Scraps. 613649 You should be sorry. How dare you hijack Scraps' thread and turn it into Queer Eye for the Military Guy. You should be ashamed of yourself.

GG Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 That's a civilian website. What the !@#$ do they know? They probably sell pinecone frag grenades. 613635 Now you're going to tell me that a civilian ditch digging is different than military entrenching?
VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Now you're going to tell me that a civilian ditch digging is different than military entrenching? 613666 Correct. In the military it is just make the hole big enough for yourself. In civilian you need county permits, have to grease palms, must be of exacting dimensions, and must be inspect prior to occupying the foxhole, and of course you have to grease the inspectors palm.
Ghost of BiB Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Now you're going to tell me that a civilian ditch digging is different than military entrenching? 613666 Requires a lot of repetitve training and a manual.

KRC Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I get the same picture. And it's a folding shovel. I'd rather hit someone with the multi-tool. 613689 ...but the multi-tool does not look like a shovel and do shovel-type things.
Ghost of BiB Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 ...but the multi-tool does not look like a shovel and do shovel-type things. 613695 I've long since figured out that the multi-tool just might be a little too complex in some circles. Shovel folds in... Shovel folds out. Shovel folds in... Shovel folds out.
erynthered Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Shovel folds in... Shovel folds out. Shovel folds in... Shovel folds out. 613699 Hey, take you sexual innuendos back to your fox hole, buddy.
VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Hey, take you sexual innuendos back to your fox hole, buddy. 613704 He was probably in airborne. Remembers his gay porn days.
