...that looks a lot like a shovel.

So. A drone looks like a remote control airplane , but everyone knows it is a harm launching platform that can carry corrosive nerve agent munitions. :D

OK. If my life depends on unfolding a travel shovel to defend myself, I'd say I have bigger problems. Unless I'm guarding my cat hole, maybe.

Careful or Toms cats will want one, if they read this board again.

See, in the Army this is an entrenching tool.

Digs Holes

We usually had better things to do than try to bury ourselves with pooper scoopers.

Yeah well we have the Navy Seabees do that for us. That and water borne taxi service are two of the things the Navy does right.

So, you don't need one after all.

"Hmm, bad guys coming. Machine gun? Or folding shovel? Tough choice here."

Does it fold up and store in a neat little pouch? If not, it's not germane to the thread.

Wait. None of this is germane to the thread.

Sorry, Scraps.

You should be sorry. How dare you hijack Scraps' thread and turn it into Queer Eye for the Military Guy. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I might if I had a conscience.

That's a civilian website.  What the !@#$ do they know?  They probably sell pinecone frag grenades.

Now you're going to tell me that a civilian ditch digging is different than military entrenching?

Correct. In the military it is just make the hole big enough for yourself.

In civilian you need county permits, have to grease palms, must be of exacting dimensions, and must be inspect prior to occupying the foxhole, and of course you have to grease the inspectors palm.

Requires a lot of repetitve training and a manual.

I get the same picture.

And it's a folding shovel.

I'd rather hit someone with the multi-tool.

...but the multi-tool does not look like a shovel and do shovel-type things.

I've long since figured out that the multi-tool just might be a little too complex in some circles.

Shovel folds in...

Shovel folds out.

Shovel folds in...

Shovel folds out.
