Scraps Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I'm watching the Today show and they are interviewing Ray Nagin. He is wearing desert camouflage uniform with 4 stars and a bunch of ribons. When was Ray Nagin made a 4 star general? Does this man have no shame? This guy may be a bigger fool than Marion Barry ever was.

Scraps Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 What? Is it something gag for Mardis Gras? 613499 Could be. Still doesn't seem like a smart move for the man who wants to make the city "chocolate" again.

KRC Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Poor taste for sure. Plus, one doesn't mix medals with camo, it's sort of like stripes and plaid. 613511 How do you properly accessorize camo?
Ghost of BiB Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 How do you properly accessorize camo? 613513 They are doing some really great things with web gear these days.
KRC Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 They are doing some really great things with web gear these days. 613516 Does a shoulder holster go with web gear, or are you stuck with the more traditional belt holster?
Ghost of BiB Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Does a shoulder holster go with web gear, or are you stuck with the more traditional belt holster? 613524 Depends on whether one chooses to go with the seasonal vest and matching grenade pockets, insofar as traditional. I've mostly gone with a belt holster, as the shoulder intereferes with the cummerbund. but, when not wearing the vest I like the free feeling of the shoulder.

Ghost of BiB Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Are bayonets in this season or is that more of a fall accessory? 613529 I hear the multi-tool is all the rage this year.
KRC Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I hear the multi-tool is all the rage this year. 613531 Multi-tools are quite nice. You just need to make sure you buy a good one. None of that cheap crap, which makes your outfit look gaudy.
Johnny Coli Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I hear the multi-tool is all the rage this year. 613531 You mean a "leatherman"? Those things are awesome. Totally kicks the Swiss Army knife's ass. And it's got a cool name, unless your hanging out at the Ramrod scamming drinks from suburban closet homosexuals. Then "leatherman" and "all-purpose tool" mean something completely different.

VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Definitely not the shiny ones. The black matte, no gloss finish is the way to go. 613549 Trench tool is much more useful and effective. Plus it is easier to find if you misplace it.

Crap Throwing Monkey Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 You probably still mix polyester with smoke grenades, cretin. 613553 Well...you know. Marines.
VABills Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Well...you know. Marines. 613557 Like you ever even seen a smoke grenade let alone pulled the pin on one. You probably think concussion grenades are shaped like pinecones, don't you? Friggen loser.
Ghost of BiB Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Pine cones are only acceptable during the holiday season, when matching seasonal camouflage for a particular occassion. Usually something semi-formal involving large volumes of small arms fire. There's something really Christmasy about blending the red and green tracers.
