I think the 40 is useless for most positions, especially DT. I'm more interested to see how quick he can get off the snap and under the pads of an OL men.

If your DT is running 40 yards, something went horribly wrong. Did he weigh in at 360? I thought he was 340. Shouldn't combine weights be accurate?

Call me when he wrestles a liger. Instead of having DTs run 40's they should just make them stand on the line of scrimmage while trying not to let a John Deere riding mower get past them. HOLD THE LINE!!!

True but the more and more I see of Broderick Bunkley (4.99 forty) the more and more I'm liking him.

The vertical jump means more to me, along with the shuttles, so what if you can run straight and fast, how does that translate into Football. Shuttles tell you how he'll stunt. And Vertical tells you how explosive he is off the line. The forty is so un-natural to a lineman.

I still see flashes of Big Ted running down Curtis Martin from behind on a screen play, he saved from becoming big yardage, back in the day we had a great D....
