JimBob2232 Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 QB Chad Pennington $15,000,000 cap # $3,000,000 savings if released... OUCH! Some big names on this list
ans4e64 Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 why are the jets trying to get rid of mawae? they would only save $633,000
Sisyphean Bills Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 What's sick here is Fat Mike is the 4th highest paid non-QB on that list. Behind Derrick Brooks, LaVar Arrington, and Brad Hopkins -- all three of those guys actually being Pro Bowl capable players. Chad Pennington would cost $12M is dead cap?!? Herm Edwards picked a pretty good time to leave a sinking ship.
Rico Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Let's bring TH back...be good for laughs around here!
Sisyphean Bills Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Let's bring TH back...be good for laughs around here! 611920 I'm sure he'd be thrilled right into retirement.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 They should put Jeff Posey on that list...guy would actually give us 2 million worth of salary cap space.
Buffalo Wing Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Two names stand out to me: (1) Mike Green, S, Chicago (2) Billy Volek, QB, Tenn If Mike Green is cut, Marv should get him signed ASAP. Talk about a guy who has a knack of being around the ball. The guy showed it at Nebraska in college and continues to show it in the NFL. All he does is make plays. As far as Billy Volek is concerned, I recall that his agent came out several months after he resigned with the Titans (rather than signing with Buffalo) and saying that Billy regretted not signing with the Bills. Billy really wanted (wants) to be a starter and he realized that he would have had that if he had signed with Buffalo. In hindsight, if he would signed with the Bills, we would have not traded to get JP and who knows how our last 2 drafts would have looked. TD might still be in the driver's seat.

Rico Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Mike Brown went to Nebraska & was the big playmaker in the secondary for DJ, not Mike Green...different color.
Astrobot Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 Mike Green Northwestern State, but still a decent player.
The Jokeman Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Mike Green Northwestern State, but still a decent player. 612030 Pretty good school, they also produced Terrence McGee.
The Tomcat Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Let's bring TH back...be good for laughs around here! 611920 They'd save 1.5 million if they release him...how funny
BuffBills#1 Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 I think all those players on that list will be cut except for Vincent. Campbell should also be cut because he saves us 1.5 mill. with really no cap hit.
