I've always preferred:

Yankees:

26 Championships

39 Pennants

Redsox

5 Championships (None since 1918)

10 Pennants

Today in Red Sox History:

On September 24, 1916: In the fifth inning against Boston, Cleveland's 1B Chick Gandil doubled, 3B Terry Turner walked, and C Steve O'Neill was hit by a pitch. Manager Lee Fohl called upon Marty Kavanaugh to pinch hit for pitcher Joe Boehling. Kavanaugh hit the first pinch hit grand slam in the history of the American League.

And before anyone replies with a whiny post about history not meaning anything, let me add some current-day information for you:

Yankees 96-57

Red Sox 91-61

That current enough for you?
