BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/colu...john&id=2342210 Honestly, a majority of it deals with the CBA problems, but dont you love his little condescending attitude towards us?
Acantha Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I don't see any shots. 610168 I think maybe BMiG drank em all.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 Eh, maybe I'm just a little overly sensitive when it comes to Clayton lately. Guy had himself a freak-out when Donahoe was fired, said he was going to get signed later that week by another team's front office...and then nothing. Plus, the fact that Clayton ALWAYS gets things wrong really pisses me off. I know thats his job over at E$PN, but its still a kick in the crotch to see him with his success rate when it comes to accurate stories slightly above ProFootballTalk.com Makes me think any one of us could do his job.
jayg Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I don't see any shots. 610168 me neither.....
justnzane Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 He did say "poor levy" as if he had no clue what he was doing. Regardless, Clayton, looks like a guy that should be a porn critic not a not football beat writer
X. Benedict Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Makes me think any one of us could do his job. 610172 Nope. You need the right credentials. 4 years at Dusquesne. That and you need to be able to spell and pull off that I am pleasuring myself as I speak to you look.
IDBillzFan Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 If anything, he needs to do a little more research when he makes a statement like this: If you are wondering where D'Brickashaw Ferguson got his first name: It comes from the movie "The Thorn Birds," a miniseries from 1983 starring Richard Chamberlain. It was from a book in 1977, which led to the miniseries. Christ, Clayton. Even I know that.
plenzmd1 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I think his tone is notiebly more Bills frindly since TD left. He was really pissed when TD took that shot at him when LJ Shelton was released.
OGTEleven Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 If anything, he needs to do a little more research when he makes a statement like this:It was from a book in 1977, which led to the miniseries. Christ, Clayton. Even I know that. 610521 Now you made me go and defend Clayton. I heard Ferguson give a radio interview in which he stated his name was from the miniseries. I realize the book was first, but Clayton was basically quoting the ultimate source on this one.

He said the Bills have the lowest cap $ left over of the teams that were under the cap. Well, about half the teams are over the cap so the Bills are in better than average shape. Poor Levy my butt. If Donahoe the great was so great at the cap then why poor Levy? He wants it both ways.
The Senator Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Now you made me go and defend Clayton. I heard Ferguson give a radio interview in which he stated his name was from the miniseries. (Though, how "de Bricassart" got morphed into "D'Brickashaw" is puzzling.) Da Brick sounded like a really nice guy, though. Wanted to stay in school and finish his degree in religious studies rather than come out last year. A really decent kid, he'd be a pleasure to see in a Bills uniform. If only we hadn't won that meaningless Bengals game - Donahoe and Mularkey screwed us again on their way out!
Marv's Neighbor Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Having lived in Seattle for 20 years, and escaped, my opinion of Clayton is; too much Starbucks, too little sunshine!
Ned Flanders Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I read the article twice to see if I missed something...nope. Jeeziz, why is it always "us against them" when it comes to Bills coverage, refs, the cap, taking fried bologna off the RWS menu, etc, etc.... Granted we've had our share of "just give it to 'em(s)." But cripes, why is everything "WE GET NO RESPECT." Calgon, take me away....

Pyrite Gal Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 The question Clayton used to frame the story is weird also. He states it is weird for Marv to come into such a troubled league. Well yeah, but does he suggest that Marv should have waited until a better opportunity to enter the league comes along in 3-5 years. If the league is in bad shape then simply pursue that issue directly. If he thinks that Marv will have a better situation to come into when he is older and he should wait then state that studidity. Its just a bizarre way of looking at the situation.
