Like A Mofo Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Modano "You'd think USA Hockey would be a well-oiled machine, but it's not," he said. "Basically we were on our own for hotels, tickets, flights, stuff like that. "Normally we wouldn't have to worry about stuff like that." Awwww poor thing.....so he has to take care of his own hotel reservations?!?! OH THE HORROR!!!!! Here is another exampke of why Im tired of the pros playing in Men's Hockey in the Olympics....embarassing
NYGPopgun10 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Honestly Clements, I find myself agreeing with Modano. They should be taken care of. That's what teams do. That doesn't sound all that great. I'm surprised he's not more upset that he didn't leave the bench in the third period.

CoachChuckDickerson Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Waddell choked back tears as he tried to explain why the team he built was bounced out of the games with just one win and no medals. Gee, maybe the sh-tting goal tending had something to do with it. I love when stubborn a-holes get whats coming to them.
CoachChuckDickerson Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 this isn't a beer league team going on a roadie..USA hockey SHOULD take care of all of this... 609020 Sure they SHOULD take care of it. The fact that Madonna is trying to blame the teams failures on the fact that he had to spend a half an hour on Travelocity before he left is pretty friggin weak.
stuckincincy Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 this isn't a beer league team going on a roadie..USA hockey SHOULD take care of all of this... 609020 OK, but such should be hashed out beforetimes...players and USA Olympic team officials alike. Airing dirty laundry on foreign soil is pretty childish, especially from a millionaire pro hockey player. Were I Mr. Mo-do, I'd suck it up, pay, and pitch my complaint when I get home. I hope he catches a puck in his teeth...

taterhill Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 You must not of watched todays game..... 609029 you mean olympic goaltenders are supposed to stop 30 ft slappers....
Ghost of BiB Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I didn't get to see, but from what I heard they played a lot of 5 on 3.
LabattBlue Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 If they weren't such pri-modano's, the NHL'ers would stay in the Olympic village with the rest of the athletes. Then he wouldn't have to whine about making hotel reservations.
Alaska Darin Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Hey Mike, you wanna be treated like a pro then act like one. This stuff doesn't need to be settled in the media and if you couldn't perform because of it then the US had no shot of winning anyway. Fuggin' candy ass. Give us your Stanley Cup ring - you didn't earn it anyway.
NYGPopgun10 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 You must not of watched todays game..... 609029 He gave up one bad goal. Ultimately, it wasn't the difference. It was Team USA"s continued lack of discipline. The winner came on a 5-on-3.
ans4e64 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 i agree, i think to be INVITED to play in the olympics they should definitely take care of that stuff, thats rediculous, i mean this is the olympics, not some pick-up league. Im not excusing his behavior but that is odd.
Dr. Fong Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 If they weren't such pri-modano's, the NHL'ers would stay in the Olympic village with the rest of the athletes. Then he wouldn't have to whine about making hotel reservations. 609047 >Gasp< how DARE you.
Simon Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Ohhhhh, so that's why Madonna spent the entire tournament standing around on defense and floating the perimeter on offense. Gee, and I thought it was because he was a shiftless kitty. Nice giveaway at the blueline today, and I really loved the way you hustled back to clean up your mistake, Peerless.
