R. Rich Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Me, too...on Saturday. 44782 Anything special going on there? Any musical acts playing there? Usually at state fairs, all they get are country groups. There's only a handful of country acts I like and I don't think any of them would play at state fairs.

The only singer I know will be there is Ruben Studdard (don't know which day). My main reason for going is to take the little ones on some rides and to see the animals. My brother and his wife and little girl will be joining us for the same reason. I haven't been in over 20 years.
stevestojan Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 I will be watching the other games on the Sunday Ticket. I'm sure there'll also be some drinking involved. I do have to cut the grass, but I think I'll do that early tomorrow. 44761 but you don't drink beer, remember?

A co-worker here took the day off on the first day of the MD state fair so that she could take her children to see the animals and ride the rides before it got too crowded. My wife and I went a couple times and we had a nice time.
Mark VI Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Go to a fall festival on Saturday with the family. Dinner in the evening. Clean out garage on Sunday.
CentralVaBills Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Going to the Virginia state fair.... 44688 Me too. Gee, nothing like a good Saturday evening on Laburnum Avenue in Richmond! Yeah Right. But nonetheless, I'll be there too!
Paco Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Same thing I do every Sunday. Watch football. Keeping a particular eye on the Fish game. By the way, stevestojan, here's what you're looking for.
BuffOrange Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 Here in the Philly area, they will most likely show Eagles-Lions and Giants-Browns for the early games. I'll probably pour some gasoline on myself and look for some matches.
Rayzer32 Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 I'll be in Vegas sitting in some sports book watching every NFL game and the Yanks/Blosox getting stevestojan housed!!!

It'll be worth fighting any crowds to see the kids' faces light up when they see the rides and the "aminals". Quality family time and no Bills angina.

Paco Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 working around the house . steaks on the gril and beer for the late game 45318 Regardless of what game is on...is there possibly a BETTER way to spend a Sunday night?
stuckincincy Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 B'gals - Baltimore, then for the 3rd straight week, a Green Bay game. For the last several years, the Fox affiliate here thinks that Green Bay is near to mother's milk - between them, and the night games, I see Favre etc. 10 to 12 times a year minimum. I have come to despise Green Bay...
