JCBoston Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Funny, but I couldn't help think of Nate Clements when I saw her screaming "Look at me, I'm a PLAYMAKER!" from the apex of that jump. What a clown.
Mark from Albany Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Here's a question: Is Jacobellis' blunder going to be considered by the American sports media to be bigger than Norwood's missed kick and will they finally leave Scott alone?
SilverNRed Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Here's a question: Is Jacobellis' blunder going to be considered by the American sports media to be bigger than Norwood's missed kick and will they finally leave Scott alone? 606497 It should be but probably won't be. Norwood tried to do something very difficult and came up short. Bill Buckner screwed up something routine and his team ended up losing. Jacobellis had her competition won and lost because she wanted to show off.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Didn't this fraud do a commercial before the games? Be a showoff or a drunk and you're in like Flynt at the Olympics.
buffalobillsfootball Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 She is currently in VISA and Dunkin Donut commercials. Yeah, she !@#$ up - who cares? She's still hot in my opinion... Scott who? (letitgo.com)

Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 She should have paid more attention to winning than looking at my avatar in the virtual reality set in her helmet. But seriously that was the worst idea ever. She was too overconfident. But at least she had the guts the speak to reporters afterward. You have to give her credit for doing that!
Orton's Arm Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Scott who? (letitgo.com) 606509 I prefer www.NextTimeWinTheThing.com
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 She isn't hot. Buffalo standards sure are low.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Or the Oval Office... 606597 Yes, another intern fiasco. The nation's court jester. Maybe next Olympics she'll do a backflip on the last ramp.
Spun Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 A classic "Me" move. It may be part of the sports' culture but in laymen's parlance the "Jacobellis" qualified as showboating and immaturity. As for the "Jacobellis" bumping Norwood's "wide right" kick down a notch or two in the "agony of defeat" category, the answer is a definite no. When snowboardcross eclipses NFL football on a mass scale then we may have something.
X. Benedict Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I don't think so. WTF? Snowboard-o-cross? What is next, Bob-sleigh-o-car? How about Dual-Super-G-Paintball? Ice-volleyball and Ice-handball seem to be missing too...
Catholic Guilt Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 I don't think so. WTF? Snowboard-o-cross? What is next, Bob-sleigh-o-car? How about Dual-Super-G-Paintball? Ice-volleyball and Ice-handball seem to be missing too... 607201 How about ice basketball or snow tennis. I know some great courts near the old Castle Inn.

nonprophet Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 She was too overconfident. But at least she had the guts the speak to reporters afterward. You have to give her credit for doing that! 606612 She spoke to them, yes, but she also lied her butt off and said that she was trying to "stabilize my board" on the jump. Please... If she were a football player, would Marv want her on his roster?
Kelly the Dog Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 She spoke to them, yes, but she also lied her butt off and said that she was trying to "stabilize my board" on the jump. Please... If she were a football player, would Marv want her on his roster? 607283 She had a much different tone when she spoke to Bob Costas later that night than when she spoke to reporters immediately after the hotdog. I regained a lot of respect for her when I had none at all after I originally saw it. I assume that is what LSI was talking about.
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 She spoke to them, yes, but she also lied her butt off and said that she was trying to "stabilize my board" on the jump. Please...
