scribo Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 This is interesting as well, and shows me Marv knows exactly what he's doing: http://boards.buffalobills.com/forums/inde...howtopic=115286 602164 That is some great stuff. So glad to see Marv is reading TBD -- how else would he know the o-line needs work, the QB job should be fought for, and Pat Williams' depature needs to be addressed?

MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 That is some great stuff. So glad to see Marv is reading TBD Well that right there tells me he's WAY ahead of TD.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 i'm sorry, but what did you get out of those comments exactly? they looked like pretty standard responses to me and basically observations that the fans have been making all year....... It shows me that HE knows where the problems lie and intends to address them. Also given his history with the Bills during their heyday, he knows the importance of an O-line. I can only hope he trusts McNally more than TD did.
Realist Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 i'm sorry, but what did you get out of those comments exactly? they looked like pretty standard responses to me and basically observations that the fans have been making all year....... 602172 It also sounds like he's not afraid to speak candidly. He came right out and said the OLine needs work. Can you hear the previous regime calling out any position like that, even though everyone knew what the problem was.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 TD: "We have to give the time and effort to certain positions on this football team that may or may not need some help" Marv: "This O-Line blows..."
d_wag Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 It also sounds like he's not afraid to speak candidly. He came right out and said the OLine needs work. Can you hear the previous regime calling out any position like that, even though everyone knew what the problem was. 602180 yea, i did hear the previous regime say basically the same thing..... Oct 25, 2004: Brett (Webster, NY): Jennings is out AGAIN, Price got hurt, and Mike Williams, well is maybe getting there. When do you plan on concentrating a draft on the o-line? By concentrating, I suggest our highest available choices, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds. They have been ignored far too long and they need young guys to develop. TD: After our first year here when we were hamstrung by the salary cap, we've addressed the offensive line every year and we'll continue to address it until we get it right. It's not strictly a matter of using high picks on offensive linemen as there is no guarantee that a high pick is going to be a successful pick. We will continue to work to get the offensive line the way we want it. Nov 14, 2005: Jeff Patchen (Ludlow, MA): You are obviously struggling with getting the team some offensive linemen who can do the job, what are you going to do about it the rest of the year and next year? Isn't Ross Tucker still available? Tom Donahoe: Our personnel department has done a good job of addressing the offensive line every year over the last three off-seasons. It has been addressed in the draft and with some quality free agents. We will continue to work to get our offensive line exactly where we want it. We are making progress, but we are not where we want to be. Ross Tucker was with us in training camp and did a good job for us last year, but in our estimation we had better players on the roster to keep for this season. talk is cheap.......TD admitted it was a problem, he just didn't fix it.......levy admiting it is a problem just doesn't impress me much -- anyone can see that, even TD..........i'll be impressed if he actually puts his money where his mouth is and gets us some real players......
jarthur31 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Franchise tag is an option. 602047 Really. If Marv didn't seriously consider franchising Nate, then we have the wrong man running the show now. This just in............the sun will set tonite. Not picking on you man, this was just a silly alert.
The Dean Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Really. If Marv didn't seriously consider franchising Nate, then we have the wrong man running the show now. This just in............the sun will set tonite. Not picking on you man, this was just a silly alert. 602198 Zactly. It's not ACor's fault...he's just reporting. Of course it's an option they are considering...DUH! Well, I guess it's good to know they're desperate for news at V-Coach, too.
DevilsAlum Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I know this is not new to any long time Bills fan but I seem to recall Marv staating, back when he was coach, that it's more important to keep your players than to add other teams FA. I won't be suprised if they resign NC
Rico Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 The Giants are probably going to lose Will Allen via Free Agency. Would anyone be willing to let Nate go and try signing Allen for a cheaper price? 602082 Hell no, I want Nate. Make it so, Marv.
