scribo Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Every year you read about a Pro Bowler recruiting another Pro Bowler to come to his team. This year I'm sure every guy in Hawaii was talking up Shaun Alexander and other potential free agents. I think I recall TKO and Sam Adams were guys other Pro Bowling Bills helped recruit. Anyway, I wonder if the Bills of the week tried talking anyone there into coming out to Buffalo. I don't know how much any of this really comes into play when it comes down to a player choosing a new team, but I have to believe everything helps. All that said, having only our punter and long snapper in Hawaii is probably a disadvantage. Just wondering if anyone else sees it that way?
Deep2Moulds46 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 If memory serves, neither Spikes nor Adams were Pro Bowlers in 2002 ( the year befor they came to Buffalo), thus Eric Moulds, Travs Henry , Ruben Brown, and Drew Bledsoe couldn't recruit them. I do remember hearing that Eric Moulds tried to recruit Hugh Douglas to Buffalo. Luckily that didn't happen. Also, I doubt our punter is going to convince anyone to come anywhere.

I agree that our punter isn't going to recruit anyone, which was exactly my point. Are the Bills at a disadvatage by sending only two guys -- both special teamers, when rivals such as the stinkin' fish had a guys on both sides of the ball?
