YellowLinesandArmadillos
First off, spoken like a true non-hunter. We always had a few, not drunk, but it was pretty common to have a little snappes, etc... to warm the bones. Have you ever been hunting, fired a rifle, etc... if not, STFU, you have no clue. 602766 Yep, a guy like Cheney, a few stiff ones relaxes you so you can shoot without shaking, looks like he relax too much and forgot his friend was retrieving a quail he previously shot like a good old errand boy. Johnny Coli
Is not a Vice-President that hunts quail better than a President that hunted tail? 602836 I don't know, but Bill was/is quite the lothario, while Dick just shot a hunting buddy on a canned hunt. You tell me who's got more mojo.

Heinz died, when Senator Wellstone died, anthrax, when the snipers were loose etc. Don't want the guy to die, but Cheney is a different story and a worthy target of any wannabe comedians. Johnny Coli
Looks like he's had a heart attack from the buckshot lodged in there. Man shot by Cheney has minor heart attack But buried in the article.... It looks like the WH won't be outdone by the professional jokesters, or the wannabes: Just before the latest news on Whittington's health, the White House had apparently decided that the best way to deal with the incident was to joke about it. President Bush’s spokesman quipped Tuesday that the burnt orange school colors of the University of Texas championship football team that was visiting the White House shouldn’t be confused for hunter’s safety wear. “The orange that they’re wearing is not because they’re concerned that the vice president may be there,” joked White House press secretary Scott McClellan, following the lead of late-night television comedians. “That’s why I’m wearing it.” The president’s brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, took a similar jab after slapping an orange sticker on his chest from the Florida Farm Bureau that read, “No Farmers, No Food.” “I’m a little concerned that Dick Cheney is going to walk in,” the governor cracked during an appearance in Tampa Monday. The WH was just as slow to recognize the humor as they were in giving the nation any info.
BRH
That's OK. Happens all the time. 602984 Guy also apparently had a heart attack from the shot that lodged in his heart. How this squares with the initial story that "some pellets broke the skin" is beyond me. But not to worry. It's a minor heart attack. Like the five Cheney's had... It's not only entirely plausable that a piece of shot found its way into the circulatory system from his head or neck and made its way to his heart, I'd say that the hospital thought it was a significant risk, given that they'd put him in intensive care. blzrul
Well let's see, guns don't kill people, people do. So let's see some person take responsibility instead of dodging it. Good thing Uncle Dick never travels without an entourage of physicians to restart is cold mechanical heart and, of course, an ambulance on standby. It IS nice that someone else's heart attack is "minor". Cripes.

It's similar to idiots who clammor on about friendly fire incidents. How the !@#$ do you know what happened, if you have never been in a similar type of environment?
