2003 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 If the draft were to be like this: 1. Bush 2. Young 3. Leinart 4. Ferguson 5. M. Williams 6. Hawk 7. Huff 8. ??????
kasper13 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Trade it for an extra pick or two. Lots of good but not great OL prospects in the 3rd-5th rounds. Just get as many picks as possible and load up instead of getting one guy that everyone will call a bust before he even steps on the field as a Buffalo Bill because no matter what the Bills do people will hate it. .
OnTheRocks Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 unless D'Brick Ferguson or Mario Williams were still available, I would trade down.
swede316 Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 I went with Hali....A great DE can do wonders for a Defense.... Look at Bruce, Peppers, Freeny...Not saying he's in that class but he just might be.
gmanbfan Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 I gotta go Ngata simply because it is a glaring weakness and so many people have said that there are ample O Linemen later in the draft.
ans4e64 Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 i dont think huff will be gone before we pick
BillsGuyInMalta Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Kiwi is going to slip BIG TIME in the Draft
JimBob2232 Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 NO WAY you take Hali or Kiwi at #8 (barring a suprise combine showing...which i still think you shouldnt go by). If thats the way it goes, take a look at Jimmy Williams. I think J. Williams is the only other guy who should be taken in our slot (possibly Ngata, but im not sold on him). He would fill a need vacated by clements, who could be moved for a #1 or #2 pick. Take williams, trade clements, pick up Marcus McNeil or Gabe Watson later on in the first with the clements pick...seems to solve alot of problems. OR...trade the pick and move down. Someone will want cutler or J. Williams or D. Williams.
Rico Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Kiwi is going to slip BIG TIME in the Draft 600644 Sure looks that way after Senior Bowl week. Hope he slides all the way down to us in the 2nd-or-3rd round.
CarolinaBills Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I'm not a fan of drafting OL high in the draft. I would rather let another team draft them, and develop them, then pick them up in FA.

CarolinaBills Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 How many successful examples of this can you cite, especially at the LT position? 601681 I guess I am gun-shy, after drafting Williams.
Buckeye Eric Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I went with Hali....A great DE can do wonders for a Defense.... Look at Bruce, Peppers, Freeny...Not saying he's in that class but he just might be. 600628 But a DE does nothing to upgrade an extremely pitiful OL.

Like A Mofo Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 But a DE does nothing to upgrade an extremely pitiful OL. 601706 True....but if the Bills can get a guy like Mario Williams, they have to take him....I say address the OL via FA
JStranger76 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 There's this thing that starts March 3rd called free agency. Maybe the Oline and DT can be workd on some there, affording us with the "luxury" pick of a DE or, dare I say it, TE Vernon Davis?
stuckincincy Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 How many successful examples of this can you cite, especially at the LT position? 601681 The usual drumbeat for an offensive skill player is increasing, Bill.
