R. Rich Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Here's another wild card, though probably less likely as he may not last until the 8th. If he does, it could make things interesting. Bio From NFL Draft Countdown

R. Rich Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Do the Bills take this guy if he is available? Anyone seen him play on TV? Is he the next Urlacher? or Katzenmoyer? 608996 Other than both players attending Ohio State, there's little that Katzenmoyer and Hawk have in common. Of course, it's the easy way out to compare them, just like I see people comparing Jonathan Scott of Texas to former Texas OL like Big Mike Williams or Leonard Davis, even though they're nothing alike other than choice of school. Less work, and it's fun to come up w/ oh so clever remarks about them. Anyway, Hawk is the real deal @ linebacker. He's a very intense player who is a solid tackler, great hitter, and adept @ read/run on the fly. He does get a bit aggressive @ times and can be fooled on play action and such, plus he needs to work on his coverage skills some. Even still, I saw him do quite well in coverage in spots this season, so even that isn't as huge a concern as some may think. Many people believe he's the best defensive player available in this draft, and I'm not sure I disagree w/ that sentiment.
bartshan-83 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 I saw him play once...Fiesta Bowl. He dominated and easily made one of the nation's best offensive lines look stupid at times. Something like 11 tackles...2 sacks. Big time players make big time plays....i'm sold.

One's an All-pro, one's a bust. That was my basis for comparison. Why such a negative unfriendly response?

What irks me is when someone says stuff like that in response to a question like the one you posed. Example: [question] "Is Hawk really that good?" [answer] "He's just another Katzenmoyer wannabe who's blah blah blah blah blah...".
R. Rich Posted February 23, 2006 Author Posted February 23, 2006 Are you sold on VY then too? 609138 Not as sold on VY as VY appears to be. Dissing the combine may be a smart move, or it may be a huge mistake. I hope his entourage isn't in over their heads.
