Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Thurman Thomas by far! Such a great player to watch.

/dev/null Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 WM has alot to prove before he can be compared to OJ or Thurman
PatPatPatSack Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 WM has alot to prove before he can be compared to OJ or Thurman 597178 Greatest? got to be Cookie the Mitten Man. Greatest in the Jim Thorpe, pure power, kind of way. His is one of the all-time almost stories.
sfladave Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 The slasher, I mean the Juice was the best pure RB the Bills ever had. In fact you could probably argue top 3-5 of all time. That being said, if I had to choose 1 that I want for my team, Thurman hands down. !@#$ the psycho killer! edit: Willis "I'm the greatest" McGahee doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in this thread.
Tcali Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Thurman Thomas by far! Such a great player to watch. 597172 oh come on...

SACTOBILLSFAN Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Willis isnt even at Kenneth davis level yet 597187 K Davis was a baller...especially in tecmo super bowl when thurman would get injured every year around week 12...does anyone have the link to that OT thread about the tecmo super bowl website???
sfladave Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Willis isnt even at Kenneth davis level yet 597187 That was actually the first person who I thought of who was more deserving.
Nanker Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Willis isnt even at Kenneth davis level yet 597187 Personally, I think he's hovering around the Ronnie Harmon/Greg TinkerBell level. He's got a chance to prove himself further, but his jury's out. Let's see if he stays in Buffalo for a few more years first before we try to think of him as belonging with the greats of the game.

OnTheRocks Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Willis isnt even at Kenneth davis level yet 597187 i can think of a few more that are ahead of Willis, namely Jim Braxton. Others, Roland Hooks and Curtis Brown.
Like A Mofo Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I would say Willis isnt even ahead of Joe Cribbs at this point. Lets be fair here...Im a huge Thurman fan...but before 1994, would this even be a debate with OJ? He is one of the Top 5 RB's of all time..Thurman is close to that level, but not quite.
Tux of Borg Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Travis Henry has to given credit for being one of the toughest backs we've ever had. Yeah, he can't block, catch the football, and fumbles in key situations... but that guy could play through anything.
tennesseeboy Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 OJ is up there with Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, Payton. There has never been anyone even close before or since. Awful human being but he is one of the top five running backs ever to play the game.
Beerball Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 i can think of a few more that are ahead of Willis, namely Jim Braxton. Others, Roland Hooks and Curtis Brown. 597252 Cribbs, Cookie was mentioned, Braxton without question, even Henry. Willis has a way to go. Does he even crack the top 10 at this point? Thurman Cookie Juice KD Braxton Cribbs Hooks Henry Bell Harmon . . .
Marv's Neighbor Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Greatest? got to be Cookie the Mitten Man. Greatest in the Jim Thorpe, pure power, kind of way. His is one of the all-time almost stories. 597183 You're right! Cookie's the MAN!
tennesseeboy Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I followed Cookie through his career, but he was never in the same class as OJ. He went to the Browns out of high school and made the final cut (the Browns kept the rookie Jim Brown) and he played a number of years in Canada as a linebacker and fullback. A number of coaches approached him to play offensive line as he was a great blocker (when so inclined.) Interesting guy, great runner, probably the toughest sob ever to put on a bills uniform...but no OJ.. Top runners: OJ Thurman Cookie Gilchrist everyone else.
seq004 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Simpson, not even close. When OJ was playing for the Bills he was so far ahead of any RB in the league. He was one of the greatest ever. Too bad he turned out to have a very dark side.
