ACor58 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Does anyone else think that after the officials almost cost the Steelers the game against Indy that they were trying "too hard" to make sure that the Steelers did not come out on the short end of the stick? By not fining Joey Porter for his comments after the Indy game the NFl essentially admitted that they were wrong. Not wanting to make the same mistake twice, all of the calls seemed to lean towards Pittsburgh as to say "see, we weren't trying to screw you last week." The TD, the Pass Interference, and the Holding call are all pretty obvious. One call that hasn't been mentioned was when Joey Porter "Horse Collared" Shawn Alexander on 3rd and long. If you recall, that form of tackling is illegal after Roy Williams hurt two players.
Lofton80 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 The delay of game not being called on Robo was obvious as well. I do not believe it had anything to do with the Indy game though.
