MadBuffaloDisease Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 You could say the same about giving up 7 sacks in 1 game, giving up a TD on 3rd and forever Don't matter. Despite these mistakes they were screwed out of 12 points at least. Period. End of story. fumbling in the red zone, missing 40 yard kicks, giving up 3 4th down conversions on one drive, and failing to hammer it in on the goaline. I wasn't talking about the Jags game, and the Bills DID "hammer it in on the goalline" against the Raiders. I can't put tha any simpler for you. That's making a big play on the road, but instead it incorrectly turned out to be a big play for the Raiders. Do you understand this point? The Bills are soft. They need to realize that they lost that game, not the refs. They're not going to win the next game if they play the same way, but have better refs. The Pats are a significantly better team than the Raiders, so that's not really comparable. However I'd still be pissed if the zebras fugged the Bills out of 12 points against the Pats. And I'm not looking for "better refs," just semi-competent. If the team put up a better effort, I would join those blaming the refs. These aren't the 'circle the wagon' Bills, they're turning into the "find any excuse" Bills. Again, put simply, it's NOT "excuses" when the NFL admits the refs made mistakes. Talking about the officials in the Jags game would be excuse-making, but not against the Raiders.
