Well, I heard they were planning on having a different halftime show, but that's really taking it a bit far, isn't it?

They left out: ...to remove Teddy Bruschi.

no silly...

Teddy Bruschi will be performing the surgery at Dr. James Andrews' Birmingham, AL office. Dr. Andrews is still recovering from his recent heart attack, so he will only be there to assist the Rev. Bruschi, M.D. After the Brady Surgery, Rev. Bruschi, M.D. will be performing angeoplasty on Dr. Andrews.

Later, Rev. Bruschi is expected to fly to Detroit to be part of the halftime festivities, including playing lead, rhythm, and steel pedal guitar with Ron Wood and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.

Side note:

It's for a Sports Hernia. Shows how much of a kitty McNabb is. Brady has the SAME injury and puts up his best statistical year, leading his team to the playoffs. McNabb? He's on the bench eating Chunky soup half way through the year.

I wouldn't say Brady had such an outstanding year, really. The Pats went 3 and 8 against teams with winning records in the regular season, squeaking into the playoffs in the worst division in football. Seven of their ten wins came against the AFCE (5) and two other sub-0.500 teams. For years we have heard Pats fans ridicule Manning for playing in a soft division. Brady should be no excepton.

Where is all the talk of Brady's tendancy to throw endzone picks in playoff games (3 in 11)? If a RB fumbles the ball on the 1 yard line in 3 out of 11 games he would never be allowed to touch the ball again. The rest of the team bailed Brady out on two of them, but his endzone INT in Denver, his team's biggest game of the season, was the single-most crucial play of that game. And for that he get's to flip the coin at the Superbowl? The NFL couldn't find anyone more worthy? They couldn't find a soldier from Iraq, or another QB from the past?

Very good point JSP. As bad of a guy that T.O. is there were still a lot of the Eagles players that supported and sided with him. Donavan is not the choir boy that the media has made him out to be.

Immediately following the game he will walk across the river to Windsor Ontario to pull kittens out of a burning building.

No disrespect, but I sense K-dog is about to flag you for unfunny repetitiveness.

Of course not. The NFL has been trying to make Brady "the next Joe Montana" for years now, as a posterchild for the league. Without him in the SB, and two "boring" teams in there, the product isn't as glitzy.

I think it's a good choice. The coin flip is not all that different from the dump passes and screens that Brady has been throwing his whole career. And you know if he screws up and accidentally 'fumbles' the coin, the refs will give him another shot at it!

Horrible thought! You should be ashamed of yourself. B-)

I hope he blows out his knee walking onto the field. Much more dramatic that way.
