The Dean
Cedric Humes from VT isnt bad. That really is a sad thing to see the FB disappear like cheesy poofs on 4:20 William Henderson is a FA this year, though I doubt he'd think about leaving GB I'd love to see him in our backfield. I don't we need need 2 guys, I think you can get away with one if you find the right guy. I'm going to spend some time later on looking through college prospects and see if I can't find someone in this years draft class. Otherwise, keep an eye on players coming out in the next 2 season like Helm'dollar in Boise state and Brian Leonard at Rutgers. 592856 Thanks. Let us know what you find. cheesy poofs
WVUFootball29
Thanks. Let us know what you find. cheesy poofs 592865 Here's a few names to check out and keep an eye on: Matt Bernstein FB | (6'0", 267, 4.91) | WISCONSIN Lack of speed might be an issue, but he's a tough runner and a solid pass blocker Lawrence Vickers FB | (6'0", 233, 4.76) | COLORADO Lacks ideal size, but has the frame to add another 15 lbs. Good pass catcher JD Runnels FB | (5'11", 237, 4.65) | OKLAHOMA Same deal as Vickers Rashon Powers-Neal FB | (6'2", 236, 4.8) | NOTRE DAME Little slow, not a great receiver, but a good tweener back Shawn Willis FB | (6'1", 276, 4.75) | OKLAHOMA STATE Ok size and speed, not much of a receiver...Carwell Gardner-esque Steven Jackson FB | (6'0", 255, 4.6) | CLEMSON no scouting report available, but can't be too overwhelming because clemson doesnt use FB very often in their offense Brandon Jones FB | (5'10", 240, 4.65) | PURDUE Great short yardage guy, ok hands. Lacks elusiveness as a runner and isnt a big play threat out of the backfield as a receiver. However, i think he might just be what we are looking for in a 7th rd pick or udfa Chad Henley FB | (6'1", 250, 4.65) | NEVADA LAS VEGAS no scouting report available Derrick Ross RB | (5'10", 242, 4.66) | TARLETON STATE (Div 2) Unpolished, good UDFA, possible diamond in the rough. Not the brightest guy in the world, probably why he's D2. Might not stand up to NFL caliber players. Worth a look in camp I'll be digging deeper when I get back from Curacao on the 12th. Its about that time of year that I become completely obessed with the draft and FA
BB2004
He is a free agent. He is not happy with the Ravens. He had an off year. He had surgery. Yes, he did time but he stood up and took it like a man. He made no excuses. A combo of MacGahee and Lewis would be awesome. It is even do-able. 592761 I don't think a guy of that calibre is going to want to backup Willis. Willis is our guy. Shaud Williams seems more of a third down back on passing downs. A backup would be nice, but not Jamal. I would wait till the draft or wait until the 1st of June.
KD in CA
I am so tired of this buulshit that Marv only will consider high character people. James Lofton got busted for rape. Bruce Smith was always in trouble with the law. 592797 Are you also tired of people making mind numbingly stupid posts about who the Bills should sign/draft/trade for? I am. Some of these guys look interesting. I'm not worried about lack of elusiveness or big-play ability from a fullback. I can probably even deal with lack of speed...as long as he can take a swing pass or a screen for a 1st down. Since Gash left, it's been tough watching these guys, IMO. I'm looking for the guy that can get that extra yard that makes a difference in us punting or putting points on the board. We lacked that since Gash and Centers left and its a part of our offense we need to find again.
